Getting to/from the Airport

Airways Transit Service Limited

Airways Transit is offering a conference rate of $54 per person (taxes included), one way, on transportation to/from Pearson Airport (37% off regular fare). Letter of Invitation/Letter Confirming Registration

International attendees may need a letter of “invitation” in order to obtain a visa to visit Canada. If you need a letter confirming your registration or confirming your invitation to present, this can be provided.  Letters will only be issued after you have been selected to present AND after you have registered and paid conference registration fees.  To request a letter, please send an email to iuconfs@indiana.edu with “Request for letter for visa application” as the subject header. The body of this email must include the following:

• First (given) name
• Last (family) name
• Date and place of birth
• Complete mailing address
• Telephone number
• Email address
• If possible, contact info for your representative at the Embassy

Once we have received your request, we will verify your registration and payment of fees and will issue a PDF signed letter.

We strongly advise you to start the visa application process as early as possible, and to submit your application at least 8 weeks in advance of your departure date. You are also encouraged to check the processing times for the mission responsible for processing your visa, as processing times vary. Kindly note: the event organizer will not be able to contact or intervene with Embassy or Consulate offices on your behalf.

Traveler Identification Requirements for Land Border Crossings 

U.S. Visitors to Canada/Canadian Visitors to U.S.:

Be prepared to verify your CITIZENSHIP (place of birth) and IDENTITY (photo I.D.) with such documents as Passport, Enhanced Drivers Licence, NEXUS/FAST card, Naturalization Certificate, Visa or Green Card, Baptismal Certificate, Citizenship Card, Record of Landing, or Permanent Resident Card.

If you are traveling with children, you should carry identification for each child. Divorced parents, who share custody, should carry copies of the legal custody documents.

Travelers under the age of 18 and unaccompanied by a parent need a letter of permission from a parent or guardian.

Citizens of other Countries:

Must have a valid Passport (and may also require a Visitor’s Visa).
